Yes. Every cupcake is made from scratch in small batches using high-quality ingredients.
The vanilla and chocolate cake recipes were carefully developed to deliver exceptional flavor, a tender crumb, and lasting freshness. The buttercream is crafted to achieve the perfect balance of flavor and sweetness.

Gluten-free, dairy-free, or allergen-free products are not available.
All products are prepared in a home kitchen where common allergens, including wheat, dairy, eggs, soy, peanuts, and tree nuts, are present. While every order is prepared with great care, cross-contact with allergens cannot be prevented.
A complete list of ingredients and allergen information is included on the label affixed to each cupcake box. Customers are responsible for reviewing ingredient information before consuming any product. Good Petal Chicago is not responsible for allergic reactions to its products.

If your preferred pickup date is available, the order will be gladly accommodated. Rush orders are always welcome to inquire and may be accepted when scheduling allows.

All cupcakes are finished with signature vanilla buttercream.

Yes. Custom colors are available for an additional charge, starting at $10 per order.
Pricing depends on the complexity of the requested colors and will be provided before your order is confirmed.

Petal Boxes are available for pickup only.
Local delivery is available for Event orders. Please see the Planning an Event section of this FAQ for more information.

Pickup is available within the city of Chicago. Once your order has been confirmed, pickup instructions and the exact location will be provided.

Payment in full is required once your order and pickup date have been confirmed.
Orders are not considered confirmed until payment has been received.

Debit cards, credit cards, and Apple Pay are accepted. A 3.5% payment processing fee applies to all card transactions.

Petal Box orders may be cancelled or changed with written notice by email at least 7 days before the scheduled pickup date.
Orders cancelled fewer than 7 days before pickup are non-refundable due to advance planning, ingredient purchases, and order preparation.
Please note that Event Collection orders have a different cancellation policy. Please see the Planning an Event section of this FAQ for details.

If you need to change your pickup date or time, please email as soon as possible.
Requests made more than 7 days before pickup will be accommodated whenever scheduling allows. Changes requested within 7 days of pickup cannot be guaranteed.

Good Petal Chicago cupcakes are best enjoyed within 24 hours, but they will remain fresh for up to 2 to 3 days when stored at room temperature.
Do not refrigerate your cupcakes, as refrigeration can dry out both the cake and the buttercream. Store them in their box in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
If you would like to enjoy them later, cupcakes may be frozen in an airtight container for up to 3 months. Before serving, allow them to thaw at room temperature for about 2 hours.

Petal Boxes should always be carried from the bottom and kept level during transport.
If transporting your cupcakes by car, place the boxes on a flat, stable surface where they cannot slide or tip over. During warm weather, keep the air conditioning on and avoid placing the boxes in direct sunlight. Once you arrive, move the cupcakes indoors or into the shade as soon as possible.

Orders of up to 250 classic-sized or mini-sized cupcakes can be accommodated.
If you're unsure how many cupcakes you'll need, recommendations are always available based on your guest count, menu, and event style.

The best way to experience the cupcakes is by ordering a Petite 4-Petal Box. It includes two Sweet Vanilla and two Rich Chocolate cupcakes, making it easy for two people to sample both cake flavors before placing an event order.

Please inquire at least 3 weeks before your event or delivery date. Earlier inquiries are encouraged, as popular dates may book well in advance.
Event dates are confirmed based on availability and are reserved once a deposit has been received. Rush orders may be accommodated when scheduling allows.

Event dates are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
Once your event details have been finalized and availability has been confirmed, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your event date. The remaining balance is due 1 week before the event or delivery date.
Your event date is not considered reserved until the deposit has been received.

Yes. Event orders can be customized with your choice of cupcake quantities, cake flavors, color palettes, stand rentals, delivery, on-site setup and styling, and other White Glove Services.
If you're planning a special celebration, Good Petal Chicago is happy to discuss your vision and create a proposal tailored to your event.

Because each order is custom made for your event, it requires advance planning, ingredient purchases, and time for baking and decorating. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your event date. The remaining balance is due 1 week before your event or delivery date.
If you choose to cancel your order, any payments that have already been made are non-refundable. This includes both the deposit and any remaining balance paid prior to cancellation.

Yes. Good Petal Chicago cupcakes can certainly be enjoyed at outdoor events, but because they are decorated with real buttercream frosting, they should be protected from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
For the best presentation, keep the cupcakes in the shade at all times. If the temperature is above 75°F, we recommend storing them indoors at room temperature and bringing them outside shortly before serving.

Cookies are sold by the dozen with a minimum order of 2 dozen.

Yes. Individual wrapping, custom logo stickers, and other packaging options are available for an additional charge. Planning a meeting or event? Simple, elegant display platters and stands are also available for rental.

Pickup is available for all cookie orders. Local delivery is available for orders of 10 dozen or more.
Delivery is charged at $3 per mile round trip ($15 minimum).

For the best flavor and texture, cookies should be enjoyed within 1–2 days when stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
If you won't be enjoying them within that time, freeze them as soon as possible in an airtight container. Cookies can be frozen for up to 3 months. Remove them from the freezer 1 hour before serving.

Absolutely! Petal Boxes, Event Collection cupcakes, and chocolate chip cookies can all be included in the same order, subject to availability.
